When is the application deadline?

The application deadline has been extended and is now Friday 7th August at 11pm.

When will I be notified of the decision?

We will aim to notify candidates of the outcome by 30th August 2020.

Will I receive confirmation my submission has been received?

You will be emailed an application submission receipt. If you do not receive an email within 48 hours, please contact us.

How many scholarships are available?

A total of five scholarships are available, each worth £2000. 

For a further three candidates, coaching and mentorship opportunities will be available from prominent, experienced leaders in the field.

Can students apply?

Unfortunately, not this time. This opportunity is for those currently working in the field of healthcare.

Is this opportunity open to international applicants?

Unfortunately, not this time. This opportunity is for UK residents only.

Can self-employed people apply?

This scholarship programme supports those wanting to move into leadership positions within an organisation that is not their own (e.g. an NHS organisation, GP Practice, Care Home, Private Hospital, Dentist, etc ). At this time those who are self-employed or run their own business are not eligible.

Can Personal Trainers apply?

Unfortunately, personal trainers are not eligible. 

Can I apply for this opportunity if I work outside of the field of healthcare?

This opportunity is designed to support healthcare professionals move into leadership positions in the field of healthcare only.

What can the grant be used for?

The grant can be used to support a training or educational course to support your professional development and leadership career. The course does not have to be a leadership course. 

How will the grants be paid?

Directly into the bank accounts of the successful candidates.

Do the grants need to be paid back?

The grants are non-repayable and do not have to be paid back.

Can I receive more than one scholarship?

Successful candidates will receive only one scholarship of a total of £2000.

I have already started a course, can I use the scholarship towards it?

The scholarship is available to use towards a course or training that started on or after 23rd March 2020.  Courses that have a future start date are eligible.
