Diary of a Project Manager - Entry no. 6

Updated: Nov 7, 2018

Its been a while since I posted a diary entry, but as I feel I have been on a winning streak, I  thought it would be good to share a quick update.

So firstly,  in the land of Community Education Provider Networks (CEPNs), all is well. Happy clients  = a happy project manager.

Over the past few week’s I have been supporting CEPNs to develop;

  • project ideas and submit some funding proposals

  • strategic operating plans for 2018

  • increased communication  and engagement across their stakeholders

  • revised governance arrangements

  • workforce resources

  • understanding of the implications of closing down a Community Interest Company

I have also attended a few events with the highlights including, the Future of Nursing: An Institute of Integrated Care Symposium at the University of Greenwich, and the development day run by our local Health Education England office where the focus was on developing the culture and effective teamwork amongst our CEPN Boards.

I know I always say this, but I am really fortunate to have such a varied role.

To support CEPNs and to share some best practice, my team and I  recently launched the CEPN engagement bundle which is a FREE resource which includes templates, stakeholder mapping exercises and some top tips to help you engage effectively across your network.Although the focus of this bundle is for CEPNs, the marketing principles are universal and can be applied to any project or organisation. Lastly, this month my friend set me the challenge of blogging 5 days a week in the run up to  Christmas. It’s a challenge I have accepted and so far so good, but I apologise in advance if my ideas start to dry up and I start blogging about my dog!
