Entrepreneurship Weekly Insights - Insight 5: Creative conflict
Updated: Nov 7, 2018
I have worked on many projects which have experienced disagreements amongst the stakeholders regarding the direction and implementation of a project, resulting in delays, frustration, and low morale.
However, disagreements do not have to be seen as a negative. Creative conflict can often be the hotbed for innovation.
Whilst it would be great to work with people who we like and agree with us all the time, this may not provide the cognitive diversity required to do something different, innovative or creative. We do not all have to be best friends, but as long as there is mutual respect, greatness can happen.
We all have unique insights to bring to the table and to be precious over our ideas stifles creativity and prevents us from reaching our full potential.
