How to Determine if your Idea is Worth Pursuing?

Using some of the findings from Joe Tidd and John Bessant, their 5 characteristics of an innovation provides a valuable and practical framework to help determine if your idea is worth pursuing.

For each characteristic, consider whether your idea acts as an enabler or inhibits these success factors. Be objective and ensure you have different views around the table.

If there are holes in your idea (and all the best ideas do at first!) use the tried and proven; who, what, why, when, how, how much to help guide your analysis.
