In this lunch and learn, I'll share some key reflections from my work on the ground as the interim Neighbourhood CVD Lead on the Isle of Wight.
This is less of a blueprint and more of an honest set of reflections from someone leading on the frontline of a neighbourhood.
It draws on my own experience, and on my work facilitating other networks as they try to position themselves for neighbourhood working.
I'll cover three reflections and frameworks.
1. The full lens framework. How to think about the way decisions get made, through four views: the organisational view, the financial view, the system view, and the view of patients and public health.
2. Must do, could do, and implications. Taking an honest stock of the mandatory asks. Not just the asks and potential asks of neighbourhood working, but the contractual asks already in play from your other contracts.
3. How decisions really get made.
How present and position our ideas, and the evidence, if any, we have to back them up, is really important. The section will also cover the role of the clinical and operational lead. And understanding the decision-making culture of each partner around the table.
Who it's for: PCN and neighbourhood leaders, clinical directors, managers and practice managers.
