As a result of Tara's appointment the network is more engaged than ever, with more distributed leadership. The visioning exercises were particularly helpful for the network, especially looking forward to seeing who we want to be in 5 years.
Tara brings energy, positivity and a solution-focused approach to our network. Tara is not just a manager, she coaches, she is very reflective and always acts with integrity.
I would highly recommend working with her.

KAREN MIDDLETON
CEO of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy
I wanted to say that the podcast I did with you has had an amazing reaction - totally unexpected by me!
I've had emails, texts and DMs from all over the place - CSP members and others - commenting on the interview. The main themes have been:

-
how people wish they had spoken out 'like this' earlier in their career so that they weren't filled with so much angst.
-
the fact the interview let them believe they too could move into positions of leadership which didn't require some extraordinary power.

So thank you once again for the opportunity - your questions clearly provoked me to respond in a way that seems to have helped and inspired others.
REENA GONSAI
Thank you so much for the excellent advice and help you gave me with my recent tender over the weekend and at such short notice. A friend recommended me to you, and in less than 30 mins, we were talking on the phone.
You made a complicated procedure much easier to handle due to your expertise. I would recommend your service to anyone.
MONIQUE CARAYOL
Director of Strategy and Transformation, Hounslow & Richmond Community Healthcare NHS Trust
Tara’s Business of Healthcare Podcast is an absolute must for anyone looking to develop their career in healthcare, but also leaders and entrepreneurs.
Tara’s guests are so open - sharing amazing insights, leadership techniques, knowledge and experience, but also honest views on current hot topics.
The added bonus are episodes when Tara shares the approaches and practical tools that have made her a successful entrepreneur.
She’s truly passionate about primary care development and it shines through.
And she’s an inspiring, kind and professional host too.
DR ADEKEMI OSADIYA

What really helped was that you were so easy to talk to!

Tara has developed an in-depth understanding of the Training Hub approach to multi-professional education and training within Primary Care. She is a delight to work with and has been instrumental in our East Kent Training Hub journey to date. Tara’s reflective and analytical capacity has enabled her to work effectively and efficiently with a variety of individuals and organisations and enhanced her expertise in the Training Hub design and governance frameworks.
Dr Kim Stillman
Clinical Director of East Kent Training Hub
ETTE CHIWAKA
Transformation and Commissioning Lead, Care Homes and Urgent Care Unplanned Care Directorate
I would like to acknowledge the role you have played in progressing the Integrated Care Homes Nursing service in Redbridge, in particular, the mobilisation process. You have not only championed a smooth go-live process but also ensured stakeholders were fully engaged. This project, in my view, is one of the isolated projects in Redbridge which has progressed remarkably well. I believe that eventually patients in nursing homes will benefit positively from your work.
Thank you very much Tara for all your hard work. I would work with you again.
SOLINE JERRAM
Lead Director for the Development of the Community Practice Education Network (CPEN) - Sussex
Tara’s skills include: Excellent Communication skills with adaptability to speak to groups with different priorities. Adaptable leadership styles, with an ability to develop relationships with different teams. Excellent negotiation and conflict management skills. Tara delivered well developed, analytical, document and presentational work of a high standard within tight and pressured deadlines.
Over the period of about 10 months I worked with Tara, she was a pleasure to work with, she is open and shows integrity, she is reflective and as the lead for the delivery of the development I was always confident in her ability to represent the program with positivity and to highlight to me potential concerns and or barriers in a timely manner.
I had no hesitation in extending her initial 6-month contract following the delivery of the stage one aims and would have no hesitation in employing Tara again.
KIM HORSFORD
Chief Executive Invicta Health CIC
Tara has been an excellent consulting resource for Invicta Health over the past year, providing project support and organisation of activities for the start-up phase of new services. She rapidly picks up the complexities of the areas we work in and has successfully negotiated and liaised with third parties on our behalf.
Our work is in integrated healthcare, and Tara was recommended to us by colleagues. We would have no hesitation in recommending her to others.
BEN GOWLAND
HealthBridge Direct GP Federation and Host of The General Practice Podcast
One thing that is most needed but often hardest to find in the NHS is the ability to deliver - to take a programme or a project and to make it a success. Tara and her team are fantastic at this. You can give them whatever it is that needs to be delivered, and they will work hard to make sure they understand exactly what you want, how you want it to be, and then make that delivery a reality.
What is really great about Tara is that she does this by quickly building positive relationships with everyone (CCGs, federations, practices, NHS Trusts, voluntary organisations – everyone!) and then using these relationships to get things done. All along the way the communication is fantastic: regular reports on progress; and a heads up on any potential issues before they arise.
If what you want is real, tangible delivery from someone who really understands primary care then I would strongly recommend Tara to you.
DAVID JAMES
Chief Operating Officer - Greenwich Health Ltd
Claire, I just wanted to commend your effort and organisation for the PLT yesterday, I’ve had fantastic feedback from many of those who attended and from my own experience was extremely enjoyable.

The build-up, communications with trainers and stall-holders, practice signup and dealings with CAFC were all excellent, despite the challenges posed by a couple of the sessions.

Thanks for all your hard work!
DR JASON HEATH
St Andrews Surgery - Lewes
Tara, I wanted to say a much overdue but heartfelt thanks for the session you & Helen ran.
I have been considering the feedback & also watched your video which is a very fresh way of communicating. I think seeds were sown & we now need to capitalise on opportunities to challenge to get some deeper changes happening within our 3 into 1 teams.

Hope to work with you both again soon.
Tara is really energetic and hard working. She did the ground work for us by looking at what the project might be and what funding is coming in, but she also helps you to get on and do the work so that you own it and that makes it more sustainable. Tara has so much knowledge, never stops working and always tries to find out new things and new ways to help you. I would definitely recommend her.
Helen Rignall
Primary Care Workforce Tutor

HAZEL CARPENTER
South Kent Coast and Thanet CCG Accountable Officer
I have used Tara Humphrey Consulting on three occasions, when they have undertaken projects on behalf of the CCG. These have always been managed professionally and to time.
Tara has excellent communication skills and delivers good products.
I am pleased to recommend them.
COLLEEN HART
Head of Workforce Planning, East Sussex Better Together NHS Eastbourne, Hailsham and Seaford CCG, NHS Hastings and Rother CCG, East Sussex County Council
When setting up our Community Education Provider Network (CEPN) in East Sussex, it was difficult to know where to start, particularly in understanding this new concept and how it might best support the development of the primary care workforce working in our local health system. It was suggested that we meet with Tara Humphrey, given her experience of supporting the setting up of CEPNs in East Kent and South London.
From that first meeting with Tara, the benefits to our CEPN being formed have been invaluable. Tara’s extensive experience and broad perspective having worked in quite different health systems, enabled us to create a CEPN that meets our local education and development needs. Tara’s pragmatic approach whilst also being innovative and encouraging us to work differently, has been a great motivation and a key contributing factor to the progress already made by the CEPN.
Our experience in East Sussex has been that Tara Humphrey is an excellent project support and subject matter expert when setting up and developing Community Education Provider Networks.
CAROLE CHEALES
Primary Care Workforce Facilitator, West Kent Education Network Lead
Thank you very much for doing everything so diligently and I’m sure we’ll do some more work together soon, as I’ve really enjoyed working with you.
DR NATHAN NATHAN
GP and Director of Medway CEPN, Associate Postgraduate Dean of Kent, Surrey & Sussex GP Deanery
Tara started working with Medway CEPN in 2014 supporting with the initial establishment of Medway CEPN by developing our operating plan. She since has provided project management to us via Health Education England, Kent Surrey and Sussex, establishing our CEPN governance structure.
Tara is very perceptive, and her growing experience and understanding of primary care enables her to proactively address the core issues effectively. Tara is also an effective facilitator, and I have particularly valued her ability to implement and execute.
I happily endorse her services.
DR FRAUKE DINGELSTAD
I wanted to thank you for coming to us and facilitating our training afternoon. I enjoyed your training session on communication including your presentation of the five team dysfunctions.
Since the meeting I have observed people making little changes into how we communicate with each other and certainly the section on adjusting to other communication styles is proving really helpful.
I will be sharing your resources with my registrars to help them to get greater insight into their ways of communicating and help them to develop more self-knowledge early on.
Thank you so much.
LIZ MADDOCKS-BROWN
Senior Manager Networks - Sustainable Improvements Team - NHS England
Thank you so much for your time, energy and great thoughts today.
I really think the work we are doing will get much better traction this year as a result of your input and we have some great ideas to take forward.
We will keep you up to speed with next steps and developments and look forward to working closely with you over the next few months to make the vision and reality.
DR ANTHONY JONES
West Kent Education Network
Tara helped us in establishing West Kent CEPN (a clinical learning hub spanning West Kent CCG). She was instrumental in helping to overcome blockages that had previously prevented us moving forward with this agenda, and was highly efficient in putting together a business plan within a tight time frame. Her unique insight into this particular area built confidence into the steering group allowing us to be freed up to develop our own unique vision.
DR MARILYN PLANT
MBE FRCGP MRCP

GP Clinical Lead and Managing Director Richmond CEPN
Tara has been appointed as interim chief operating officer for Richmond Community Education Provider Network (RCEPN).
Her role included organisational oversight and project management across a complex and fast changing provider and workforce commissioning landscape and required her to engage with a large number of Stakeholders to represent and further the interests of the CEPN.
Tara was also successful in leading the CEPN in a competitive national bidding process engaging with the Clinical Commissioning Group and Richmond GP Alliance to secure an externally funded project with the National Association of Primary Care.
She has a broad understanding of the primary care context and the workforce commissioning role of Health Education England. She likes to face a challenge and does so with flexibility, energy and enthusiasm.
She is a responsive colleague and a pleasure to work with.
DEE KELLETT
Queens Nurse - Primary Care Workforce Tutor - NHS Hastings & Rother CCG
Thank you Tara for your expertise, professionalism and vision whilst ESBT set up their CEPN. You really helped us to understand a wider vision and could not have succeeded so well without your support.
REBECCA MCMANUS
E & D Practitioner - Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust
I found the discussion so useful and a powerful message! I feel much more able to support staff in becoming Allies and this will help in training, such as Dignity at Work, etc! I recently had a discussion with a member of staff about this very problem and I myself will admit I am often nervous about getting a name wrong. This really helped me see how best to approach this situation. Tara was brilliant!
What's so special about Tara and her company is how helpful and supportive they are. Tara has done a lot of work, not only with East Kent Training Hub, but with a number of other Training Hubs across London and the South East. We couldn't do what we do as medical professionals at the Training Hub without Tara and her teams support and in particular, Tara's leadership.
