Much of the difficulty in this job comes down to one question. What is the role of the PCN manager, and does your view of it match your network's?
A manager can do the governance, put the frameworks in place, get on top of the workforce, the money and the risk, and still feel like they are pushing against something that will not move.
Underneath it, the answer is usually the same. Their view of the role does not match what the network wants the role to be.
Two perspectives on the same role
There is no single agreed definition of what a PCN manager is for. Everyone sees it slightly differently, and it is not for me to tell you what yours should be.
