Session 1: Understanding the Changing Environment

 

These sessions are focused on building a strong and supportive team dynamic, where responsibility and accountability are clearly defined.

 

The session will cover:

 

  1. Creating a vision.

  2. Building a coalition.

  3. The five dysfunctions of a team where we will explore how the following common issues occur and how to address them:

  • Absence of trust.

  • Fear of conflict.

  • Lack of commitment.

  • Avoidance of team accountability.

  • Inattention to team objectives.

  • Building positive working relationships.​

   3. The skills required, the challenges and opportunities for boundary-spanning roles. 

 

Session 2: Finance 

 

The session will cover:

  • The importance of knowing your numbers.

  • Presenting information.

  • Strategic and scenario planning.

  • Workforce implications.

  • Creating systems and processes.

  • Financial governance.

Session 3: HR basics every healthcare leader should know

 

​The session will cover:

​

  • Recruitment and selection.

  • Learning and development.

  • Succession planning.

  • Terms and conditions.

  • Compensation and benefits.

  • Organisational culture.

​

​This session will introduce you to simple yet effective tools to help influence and drive change and

decision-making.

  • Utilising quality improvement principles.

  • Complexity theory.

  • Scenario planning.

  • Using data to inform decisions.

  • Creating decision-making principles for the future.

  • Making the case for change.

Session 5: Governance and decision making

 

The session will cover:

​

  • The common issues networks experience when it comes to Corporate and Clinical Governance.

  • The session will also include the seven pillars of clinical and non-clinical governance.​​

  • Governance beyond primary care networks

Session 6: Developing Integrated Services 

​

  • Understanding Integration Fundamentals - What integrated care means, why it matters, and how it differs from current fragmented approaches across primary, community, and acute settings

  • Mapping and Designing Patient Pathways - Practical tools to assess current services, identify gaps, and create seamless care journeys that connect all three care settings

  • Implementation Essentials - Governance structures, shared protocols, communication systems, and change management strategies needed to make integration work

  • Measuring Integrated Outcomes - Moving beyond siloed metrics to track patient experience, care quality, and system efficiency across the continuum

 

Session 7: Productivity & Using AI

The aim is for you to walk away with greater clarity and deeper understanding, which will help

you feel productive by your own definition.

The session will also walk you through how to use AI tools to

  • Create financial scenarios.
